Places I have worked are bars, horse & dog tracks and casinos, and, later in life,law firms & with lawyers. Now in retirement,I stay home & mind my little mini-farm. In my spare time I pretty much live vicariously through the wonders of the www. I guess you could say (ala Eddie Rabitt) that I am - bloggin my life away,....lookin for & workin towards a better day, ohhh yeah. But however you look at it, there aint no gettin' around it, I'm jus' an ole' x-hippy-chick, struggling ever "onward through the fog" of life,....still here, still standin,..still laughing, after all these crazy years, and whats more amazing yet, still with at least some functioning brain cells!(Though through absolutely no fault of my own. I Think the anti association is a JOKE and needs to keep hugging trees not the horse industry, You folks that are trying to stop the horse slaughter market need to stay to helping dogs & cats that are abused. The horses that go to slaughter are not good horses they are generally horses that refuse to want to work for us the humans. Thanks to you guys the goverment has now more wild horses to feed as a result to making the horse market worth nothing & making the wild horse population grow faster then ever. think about things horses at a slaughter house are euthnized the same as cattle & hogs & they are a delicous food source to some countries just as beef & pork are for us. This had been going on for 100's of years so why try to fix it now leave things that are not broke alone.
I agree with the previous anonymous stop picking on horses when they dont want to work they need to go some where heck the bad ones weigh 1000-1500 lbs & we weigh 100-250 lbs so gee lets think a min. here whos going to win a beating contest. leave the stuff that your grand fathers & their fathers before them did alone. The only voice a horse has is weather they want to work for us or not.
